This article discusses how the use of computing resources impacted teachers and students during the COVID-19 pandemic, when in-person classes became exclusively remote, mediated by digital technologies, and the challenges faced due to the difficulties of accessing and adapting to a virtual space for the exchange of information, knowledge, and experiences. This reflection is based on interviews conducted with two university professors and a student, discussing the role of technology when it became the only possible means of interaction between teacher and student. During the pandemic, new professional and personal relationships were created and also redefined, showing that although the process of using technological tools was accelerated, they helped and, in part, met the demands arising from the connectivity process.
