Abstract

This article analyzes the culture of child exposure on social media, with an emphasis on the phenomenon of sharenting and its legal, social, and family implications. The increased use of digital platforms has amplified the sharing of images and personal information of children by their own guardians, often without due awareness of the risks involved. In this context, the study examines the impacts of child overexposure on the privacy, image, dignity, and personality rights of the child, as well as the limits of family action in light of the principle of the best interests of the child. The research adopts a qualitative approach, of an exploratory, analytical, and descriptive nature, based on bibliographic and documentary review. It concludes that protecting children in the digital environment requires awareness among guardians, preventive action by the State, and greater responsibility from digital platforms in curbing practices harmful to childhood.
