AFRICAN AND AFRO-BRAZILIAN PLAY: SITMULUS FOR CHILD DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

This article addresses the importance of playful activities with the aim of identifying the role that African and Afro-Brazilian games play in children's development in Early Childhood Education, analyzing how play can be a powerful teaching and learning tool. The study identified the need for an education that values playfulness, cultural diversity, and the integral development of students. It emphasizes the importance of incorporating these games into the Early Childhood Education curriculum, which, in addition to promoting learning through play and body movement, also addresses aspects related to cultural identity.
