REFLECTIONS AND LESSONS FROM THE INTERNSHIP AT THE NGO "FALANDO SOBRE O AUTISMO"

Abstract

The supervised curricular internship is essential to the training of psychologists, enabling the practical application of theoretical knowledge. Carried out at the NGO *Falando sobre o Autismo* (Speaking About Autism), the internship offered an opportunity to gain deeper insight into Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and to work within community settings. The experience fostered inclusion, attentive listening, and family support, broadening the understanding of social needs related to autism. This article aims to report on and reflect upon the activities undertaken, highlighting the lessons learned, challenges faced, and contributions made during the work at the NGO.
