This study aimed to analyze the potential implications of the 6x1 work schedule for workers' health and its relationship with the construction of existential meaning. A narrative and exploratory literature review was conducted based on 31 references, including scientific articles, books, and institutional documents, integrating philosophical, existential, and psychoanalytic perspectives. The literature indicates that work schedule arrangements may restrict opportunities for rest, leisure, and social interaction. Excessive emphasis on productivity and performance may also contribute to psychological distress, exhaustion, and difficulties in finding meaning beyond work. The study concludes that the debate surrounding the 6x1 work schedule extends beyond legal and economic considerations, encompassing subjective and existential dimensions. The findings highlight the importance of working conditions that promote health, leisure time, and human fulfillment, while acknowledging the complexity of the relationships between work and illness.
