A CAREFUL LOOK: AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER IN THE SCOPE OF SCHOOL INCLUSION

From the popularization that Autism Spectrum Disorder has been gaining in society, tied to it is the inclusion of this public in regular schools. People with disabilities has by the law the right to be included in society and in all spheres of it. It aims to, with this article, inform and discuss the inclusion process, as well as its evolutionary history over the years, and the history of education offered to people with ASD, in addition to elucidating the importance of inclusion for this public. For this purpose, the narrative bibliographic review is carried out in order to investigate first; explore second; and narrate third. Premises hypothesized that Autism Spectrum Disorder is a very present reality in regular schools in Brazil and the world and that inclusion is not as simple as it seems. This requires theories and practices that update over time. Besides, ASD is still taboo for most of the population.
