This study was developed using a methodological approach grounded in the assumptions of Psychology, with the objective of analyzing the impacts of the social invisibility of mothers of children with disabilities and their challenges in the social context. The research was conducted through an integrative literature review of an exploratory nature, with a qualitative approach, carried out in 2025 and 2026, in recognized databases such as SciELO, PePSIC, BVS, and PubMed. 158 articles were found; after applying the inclusion and eligibility criteria, 6 articles were selected. The results showed that mothers of children with disabilities face emotional suffering, isolation, social invisibility, and exclusive responsibility for childcare, factors that contribute to the aggravation of physical and psychological overload. Furthermore, the presence of support networks and public policies proved fundamental for coping with difficulties and promoting maternal well-being. Therefore, it can be concluded that it is necessary to expand actions to provide support, psychological assistance, and strengthen public policies aimed at mothers who are caregivers, recognizing their needs beyond their maternal role.
