The aim of this article is to reflect on the process of including people with visual impairments in a non-formal school environment, with a report on the experience of setting up the Multisensory Stimulation Room at the Planalto Serrano Association for the Visually Impaired. The research is based on documents from the Association's Pedagogical Political Project, on data from the Itaú Social Project, which is responsible for granting FIA funds, and on theoretical references that include an understanding of the educational process from the perspective of the needs of people with disabilities, a conceptual approach and the redefinition of interdisciplinarity.
