Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have played a central role in transforming public administration by enhancing process digitalization and service efficiency. However, the lack of interoperability among institutional systems remains a major barrier to the effectiveness of these initiatives. This study analyzes the impacts of ICT use in public management, focusing on system integration limitations within the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the State of Rio de Janeiro through the INTEGRA MPRJ system. The research adopts a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive approach, based on a case study, document analysis, and literature review. The findings indicate that, although the system improves internal information organization, structural limitations persist regarding integration with external systems, affecting administrative efficiency. The study concludes that digital transformation in the public sector depends on governance models grounded in interoperability and data integration.
