This article analyzes the role of the Military Police of Amazonas, through the Specialized Policing Command (CPE), as a guarantor of the Democratic Rule of Law in the capital of the state of Amazonas. The study seeks to understand how specialized policing contributes to the preservation of public order, the protection of fundamental rights, and the strengthening of citizenship, considering the legal and institutional limits of its actions. A qualitative and exploratory methodology is adopted, based on bibliographic and documentary research, with content analysis of legislation, institutional regulations, and academic studies on public security and human rights. The results indicate that, when guided by constitutional principles and internal and external control mechanisms, the actions of the CPE significantly contribute to the promotion of social peace, the protection of fundamental rights, and the strengthening of public trust in state institutions.
