The COVID-19 pandemic brought about drastic changes in all aspects of people's lives, with education being one of the most affected sectors. It compelled professionals to take swift action and adapt to remote learning and the use of digital technologies, which had previously been employed only sporadically. This article aims to analyze the technological advancements integrated into pedagogical practice during this period, as well as the challenges faced by both teachers and students. To better understand the process, interviews were conducted with educators and learners to explore their experiences with distance education. The findings reveal that, although technology expanded the possibilities for teaching and learning, the interviewees encountered difficulties in several areas, including infrastructure, teacher training, and student motivation. It is concluded that the pandemic accelerated the technological integration in education but also highlighted inequalities and the urgent need for public policies focused on continuous professional development and digital inclusion.
