This research aims to analyze the intellectual bibliographic production of students within the PPGDC (Graduate Program in Communication and Dissemination), during the CAPES Quadrennial Evaluation period (2017-2020). This is a qualitative, bibliographic, and documentary research, with questionnaires applied to the research participants. The research results indicate that, although the PPGDC's performance in the CAPES quadrennial evaluation (2017-2020) regarding intellectual production requirements points to a satisfactory performance - which contributed to its evaluation with a CAPES concept of five, the analysis of the quantity of student intellectual bibliographic production demonstrates that it is necessary to enhance and maximize this production, as evidenced by the data collected in the field. It is understood that this research should be continued and an application (software) to encourage academic production implemented in the PPGDC, as a possible useful technological tool to help increase student academic intellectual production, combined with other important initiatives identified in the research.
