Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has been highlighted as an effective approach that does not support caregivers of children with ASD, favoring cognitive restructuring, the development of emotional skills and stress management. This study aims to analyze the impact of the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on family dynamics, identifying the main emotional and psychological challenges faced by caregivers and family members after the diagnosis, while also investigating how Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can contribute to the mental health of two caregivers, offering strategies for management. do stress, promote psychological well-being and strengthen family ties. This is a literature review with a qualitative approach through searches for scientific products in the databases PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar and SciELO through two descriptors: Autism Spectrum Disorder. Family Caregiver. Mental Health. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. in the period from 2020 to 2025. It is observed that caregivers present greater vulnerability to chronic stress and fatigue, frequently reflecting symptoms of anxiety, depression and feelings of helplessness. Note that, the implementation of CBT programs, combined with ASD awareness and professional training, contributes to creating a more supportive and adaptive family environment, favoring not only the psychological well-being of caregivers, but also the comprehensive development of children.
