In emergency situations, knowledge of first aid is crucial to prevent unfavorable outcomes. The school environment often lacks adequate teacher training in this area, compromising educational safety. The objective of this study was to implement a first aid training program for teachers at a state school in the municipality of Burarama, ES, Brazil. This qualitative intervention study was conducted through theoretical-practical workshops on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and emergency protocols. Participants initially demonstrated knowledge gaps, particularly regarding CPR techniques. Active engagement in practical simulations led to a significant improvement in skills, with participants reporting increased confidence in handling emergencies. Individualized supervision proved essential for effective learning. Practical first aid training significantly enhances teachers’ preparedness for school emergencies, establishing an effective learning model that should be expanded to other educational institutions.
