This article aims to analyze the potential and challenges of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support personalized education, highlighting its practical applications, benefits, and ethical issues involved. To this end, a narrative and exploratory literature review was conducted, based on academic sources published between 2020 and 2025. The results indicate that AI has a significant impact on personalized education by providing adaptive learning, adjusting content and methodologies in real time according to student performance. Among the main benefits identified, the following stand out: increased student engagement and motivation, the inclusion of students with special needs, the automation of administrative and pedagogical processes, and continuous monitoring of learning. Technologies such as intelligent tutoring systems, educational chatbots, and predictive analytics have optimized teaching, making it more dynamic and interactive. However, challenges such as data privacy and security, algorithmic bias, and inequality of access still need to be overcome. It is concluded that, for AI to reach its full potential in personalized education, it is essential to balance innovation and ethics, ensuring responsible and accessible use of these technologies.
