STRATEGIES IN NURSING CARE PROMOTING HEALTHY EATING IN CHILDHOOD

This article sought to investigate the strategies used by nursing to promote healthy eating in childhood, aiming to contribute to the development of effective practices that promote healthy eating habits from early childhood. This is a bibliographical review with a qualitative approach, using descriptors related to the topic, such as "nursing", "healthy eating", "childhood" and "health promotion", searched in relevant databases, such as United States National Library of Medicine (PUBMED), Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), from 2019 to 2024 and Food Guide for Brazilian Children Under 2 years old from the Ministry of Health. It was observed that strategies in nursing care in promoting of healthy eating in childhood aim not only to provide nutritional information and guidance, but also to create a favorable environment and support families in adopting healthy eating practices that contribute to the development and well-being of children. It is noted that nursing, with its holistic approach and focus on health promotion, is well positioned to play a proactive role in promoting healthy eating habits and preventing food-related problems in childhood.
