THE APPROACH OF AUTISTIC SPECTRUM DISORDER (ASD) IN THE EDUCATIONAL CONTEXT

The present research aimed to quantify Brazilian research that discusses autism and education. Given the growing interest and recognition of the specific needs of individuals on the autism spectrum, as well as the importance of inclusive education, this analysis seeks to shed light on the current panorama of Brazilian scientific production in this field. The research was carried out on SciELO, and found 113 works, of which considerations are presented in light of their publications. It was evident that over the years there has been an evolution of research covering the topic of the autism spectrum. And, it is hoped that this study will contribute to the understanding of the development of research on autism and education in the Brazilian context.
