Abstract

Our objective in this work was to show the challenges faced by women for leadership positions, also to observe the development of women in the labor market in recent decades, highlighting the growth of women's participation in management and also seeking to identify existing discrimination and prejudice against them. in the professional field. We started with the following points: Highlighting leadership styles; The role of women throughout history; And the term glass ceiling, quite experienced in the corporate environment. It is concluded that women are facing difficulties to rise in the work environment, but they are managing to break through and the glass ceiling really feels like a barrier. However, changes in society and business culture are necessary to ensure women's equality with men.
