This study aims to investigate the game of chess as an educational teaching tool within the Municipal School Gilda Bertino Gomes Cumaru-PE. Interest in this subject arose within the physical education classes through various dynamics with the game of chess, incentives and dialogue with the students, that perhaps did not like to participate in physical education classes. The theoretical basis of this research is in the authors Celante (2005), Kishimoto (2000), Bruhns (1996), Duflo (1999), Berger (1993). The game of chess is a pedagogical teaching ferments as causes students who practice become involved and enjoy what is playing, awakening interest in the game and encouraging to part with, but Attendance of practical classes in other disciplines. Study the game of chess as a pedagogical teaching ferments were paths taken as north of experiences within the school. The game can assist in school education in such a way that makes learning enjoyable, enabling the full development of the student to link to the world of work and in social practice, aiding concentration, perception, logical reasoning because it has already been in of physical education classes as main contents.
