PATRIMONIAL VIOLENCE: VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AS A VIOLATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS

Abstract

The general objective of this research is to show the relevance of the theme as a woman's right against acts of Patrimonial Violence, in which a criminal who abuses the good faith of his victims should not be left to impunity. This is a basic strategic, descriptive and exploratory, qualitative and bibliographic research, with data collected in scientific articles from 2015 to 2022. Violence against women is any action or conduct, based on gender, that causes death, harm or physical, sexual or psychological suffering to women, both in the public and private spheres. One of the greatest achievements of women in the struggle for emancipation and guaranteeing rights and equality was Law nº 11,340, enacted on August 7, 2006, better known as the Maria da Penha Law, which created mechanisms to curb and prevent violence. against the woman. The Maria da Penha Law defines property violence against women as any conduct that configures retention, subtraction, partial or total destruction of their objects, work instruments, personal documents, assets, values ​​and economic rights or resources, including those intended to satisfy your needs. Therefore, one of the actions that leads the author to practice this crime is the gender issue, leading him to oppress the woman, not only reaching psychologically and physically, but also violating the patrimonial right of these women.
