Abstract

Colorectal cancer occurs sporadically (85%) and genetically (15%), and mainly, genetics is linked to the mutation of the APC gene, which causes familial polyposis adenomatous. In this case, polyps are formed that do not mainly dry out the origin of the colorectal neoplasia, with symptoms mainly in the third and fourth decades of life. In addition, colorectal cancer is the fourth leading cause of death from cancer in Brazil, making it relevant to analyze its occurrence, in order to understand its high mortality and facilitate early diagnosis.
