Abstract

Over the years, we have built, evolved and adapted to the most diverse circumstances. All this has made it possible for us to reach the present moment. However, all this evolution brought with it a lot of stress, fatigue, among other burdens of modern times. Unfortunately, the innumerable burdens of this current generation have touched on various diseases and psychological and even psychosomatic symptoms. One of the most sought after therapeutic alternatives is the use of psychoactive substances. Among them, the Benzodiazepines class is the most prescribed by doctors worldwide, due to its wide therapeutic function and its low toxicity index compared to its predecessors. The objective of this study is to analyze and identify the practical effectiveness of benzodiazepine drugs in relation to the patient's mental health. Presenting its characteristics, qualities and emphasizing the importance of information and proper guidance on the drug. Health professionals are those who work to provide the population with the right to health. But specifically, doctors and pharmacists are responsible for the basic instructions for procedures, treatments and any questions involving medicines. The amount of benefits is considerable in terms of its harm, but when instructed clearly and following the proper instructions.
