This article discusses professional challenges and new possibilities for action in the field of educational management, considering its administrative, pedagogical, political, and social dimensions. The study aimed to analyze changes in the responsibilities of education professionals, focusing on democratic management, the organization of educational work, continuing education, and digital technologies. A qualitative study based on bibliographic and documentary research was conducted, drawing on authors who address school organization, collective participation, educational policies, and changes in teaching and management work. The analysis revealed that contemporary educational management is marked by the expansion of professional responsibilities, demands for evaluation and accountability, and the need for collaboration among different members of the school community. The results indicated that democratic management, collaborative leadership, and continuing education offer possibilities for strengthening participation, autonomy, and institutional development. Digital technologies were also identified as resources that can support communication, planning, and the organization of educational practices, provided that they are accompanied by adequate working conditions and professional training. The study concludes that educational management requires a participatory, critical, and socially committed perspective.
