This paper presents an experience report developed within the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID), linked to the Physics Teaching Degree program of the Distance Education Center (NEAD) at the Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid Region (UFERSA). The experience was carried out at Dr. José Fernandes de Melo Full-Time State School, in Pau dos Ferros, Rio Grande do Norte, through the Brazilian Rocket Exhibition (MOBFOG). The study aimed to analyze MOBFOG as a pedagogical strategy for reframing Physics teaching and stimulating students' interest and participation. The activity involved the construction and launching of rockets made from PET bottles and low-cost materials, enabling the discussion of concepts related to Newton's Laws, pressure, velocity, aerodynamics, and conservation of momentum. Based on Meaningful Learning Theory and Inquiry-Based Teaching, the intervention integrated prior knowledge, experimentation, and problematization. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires administered in person to the participants, as well as observations and records made during the activities. The results indicated changes in students' initial conceptions, greater participation, and increased autonomy. It is concluded that MOBFOG contributed to making Physics teaching more contextualized and participatory, while also promoting the initial teacher education of PIBID scholarship holders.
