Abstract

Contemporary education faces growing challenges in rethinking its foundations in the face of ongoing social, cultural, and technological transformations. In this context, the concept of "Global Media" emerges as a pedagogical proposal that integrates cognitive, socio-emotional, cultural, and ethical dimensions, fostering an educational experience that transcends the traditional fragmentation of knowledge. This approach seeks to articulate knowledge in a multidimensional way, viewing the student as a whole person situated within a globalized, interconnected, and pluralistic world. According to Bacich and Moran (2018), the educational process must break away from models centered exclusively on content transmission and move toward practices that encourage student agency, complex problem-solving, and holistic development. These principles align with the Global Media concept, which envisions the school as a space for the collaborative construction of knowledge, nurturing not only cognitive abilities but also social and ethical competencies.
