LEGISLATIVE ADVANCES IN THE PROTECTION OF WOMEN'S SEXUAL DIGNITY IN BRAZILIAN LAW

Abstract

This study analyzes legislative advances in the protection of women's sexual dignity in Brazilian criminal law. To this end, it investigates the historical evolution of the protection of women's sexual freedom, the obstacles faced in relation to the patriarchal culture impregnated in the space of collective coexistence, as well as the new criminal types that have expanded the protection of women in this area. To this end, a qualitative and historical bibliographical study will be carried out, examining key points about the dimensions of women's sexual dignity and the legal and criminal treatment given to it by Brazilian doctrine and jurisprudence.
