This article aimed to analyze the national scientific evidence on educational technologies used to promote self-care among adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM). An integrative literature review methodology was employed. The following descriptors, combined with the Boolean operator, were used in the search strategy: Adolescent; Diabetes Mellitus; Technology; Education. Articles published between 2019 and 2026, regardless of language, available in full text, and addressing the practical use of educational technologies in the care of adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus were included. Duplicate studies and those that did not answer the guiding question were excluded, as were studies published in books, theses, dissertations, editorials, congress and conference proceedings, as well as secondary studies. The searches retrieved 40 articles. After applying the eligibility criteria, 15 articles were considered eligible. The findings demonstrated that the use of educational technologies can promote adolescents’ active involvement, autonomy, self-care, and adherence to diabetes management. Overall, the studies show significant potential; however, their use should involve language that is accessible to adolescents, as well as interactive resources that encourage active participation in the educational process.
