This study addresses document control optimization in quality management systems based on ISO 9001, proposing a periodic review model for filling records stored in digital platforms. The objective is to analyze the feasibility of replacing recurring document revisions caused by formatting or layout changes with scheduled monthly revisions, while maintaining regulatory compliance and reducing administrative rework. An exploratory literature review was used as methodology, based on scientific articles and technical materials related to document management, digital transformation and continuous improvement. Results demonstrated that scheduled reviews reduce excessive document control, minimize unnecessary revisions and improve standardization of files available on network, intranet and cloud systems. It was concluded that differentiating critical from administrative changes contributes to greater operational efficiency and compliance.
