This study investigates mental health within the labor context, starting from the premise that employee well-being is a strategic pillar for the sustainability of contemporary organizations. The main objective was to analyze the challenges faced by workers and identify organizational practices that promote a balanced environment. Methodologically, the research is characterized as a bibliographic survey with a qualitative approach, based on the content analysis of scientific productions and documents from reference institutions. The results indicate that overload and pressure for results are the primary triggers for occupational stress and Burnout Syndrome. It was found that although Quality of Working Life (QWL) is widely discussed in theory, the effectiveness of practical actions still faces cultural barriers and resistance to investing in emotional health. The study concludes that promoting mental health requires a change in leadership stance, moving from management focused solely on targets to a culture of psychological safety and support.
