Abstract

Objective: This essay aims to discuss at a theoretical and practical level the professional training of Geography teachers at public universities in the state of Pará. Method: the dialectic was used as a basis, analyzing the contradictions in higher education in Geography, Results/Bibliographic Review/Experience Report/or/Details of Case for which Tardiff (2005), Pinheiro, (2005) was used as a theoretical foundation. , Calai (2016), as a result of the discussion, reached as a result the need to reassess the curriculum of the Full Degree in Geography courses, aiming at a more integral formation, between Academic and School Geography, for that it would be necessary to expand the Course duration from 4 to 6 years.
