Abstract

The discussion about the inclusion of special children in regular schools and no longer in special education schools has been intensifying in recent years. Schools have been trying to adapt and the number of enrollments in regular education has been growing every year, but it is still far from an ideal number, since in addition to structural changes in schools, specialized professionals are also needed to deal with the type disability of each student. In this regard, it is important to know how the numbers on Special Education in Brazil stand, so that public policies are increasingly directed appropriately.
