THE IMPORTANCE OF DIGITAL MARKETING FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

The advancement of technology in recent years has provided new forms of interaction with the consumer and new means of social engagement, small entrepreneurs are challenged daily to keep their businesses open. With the internet, digital marketing has become a powerful tool, changing the consumer's relationship with the market. During the covid-19 pandemic, there was an increase in small entrepreneurs, in this scenario, the so-called digital influencers emerged, characterized as figures of high persuasive power who act as intermediaries, with visible effectiveness, between companies, brands and consumers, who use of social networks to engage companies and products with their consumers, in this context the research aims to help small businesses to know and use marketing and its tools. The methodology used was qualitative research in relation to the research procedures, this is classified as bibliographical descriptive with survey in articles, websites, books. Companies notice that consumers spend part of their free time checking statuses, stories and videos that aim to highlight their products. The survey points out that the number of small businesses increases every year and many do not have the marketing knowledge to publicize their products.
