The present work aims to investigate the perception of residents and students of the São Jorge community, Santarém - Pa about family farming and agrarian reform. The importance of family farming for a community is not only for financial support, but food support in vitamins and proteins for the population, quality of life as there is no use of pesticides and guaranteeing food and nutritional security for the population. Thus emerged the need to think about a family farm in collective with the community and school in a perspective of valuing the space itself (territory). The analysis of data from the qualitative and quantitative field research refers to the situation in family farming in the São Jorge Community, Rodovia Curuaúna km 30, plateau of Santarém PA; with a total of 34 people, residents of the community, 13 students aged 13 to 16 years old, 15 students aged 13 to 17 years old, from Escola Municipal São Jorge; 06 residents of the community, 03 women aged between 33 and 70 years and 03 men aged between 20 and 50 years. residents, for when there is a need to use vegetables, do not depend on buying.
