Abstract

Education in Human Rights is an essential theme, especially nowadays, which should be part of the Brazilian education curriculum on an ongoing basis. In this sense, the main objective of this article is to think about possibilities for using digital games/gamification as a tool in the dynamics of the teaching and learning process in Human Rights, aimed at students, in particular, in high school. It adopted as a methodology the documentary bibliographical research on games as a tool in the discussion of themes related to human rights. It concluded that although there are few studies on the subject, games are identified as tools that arouse curiosity and improve students' understanding of Human Rights content, therefore, facilitating the teaching-learning process, due to its playful nature, which promotes the motivation and engagement of the player (student) in the dynamics presented by the game. In this sense, among the main themes in human rights, ethics, the environment, respect for freedom and diversity and others stand out.
