This work aims to observe at what stage of the narrative acquisition process two children enrolled in Pre-School-B are and if there are differences in terms of the level of development of learning this type of text when expressing themselves through the languages visual and oral. Based on theories by Chomsky (1998), Piaget (1975), Vygotsky (1984), Alves (2010) and Garcia (1998), the analysis of the oral and visual versions of the reproduction of the tale Little Red Riding Hood made by two students showed that there are differences between the levels of development of each one. Student 01 performed better in his oral (re)construction of the narrative presented to him and, likewise, in its visual version; Student 02, in turn, although he presented all the essential elements of the narration, was more succinct in his oral production, presenting better performance and greater detail in the visual version.
