The Unified Health System (SUS) was born based on two central principles, which are the decentralization of management and social participation in its decisions. It is through the implementation of these principles that the SUS will be able to consolidate itself as an effectively democratic system. However, the challenge is always how to institutionalize more decentralized and participatory management practices. One of the most democratic ways to promote the interaction and participation of a health team, be it a Basic Health Unit (BHU) or a Family Health Strategy (ESF) in its decisions, is to involve education within this process. . Its power to impact people through social transformations is capable of reducing distances and breaking power relations, something that is very tense within these spaces and which is sometimes the cause of many problems in interpersonal relationships.
