MANAGEMENT OF TRAINING AND QUALIFICATION OF RAILWAY MAINTAINERS

The present work aims to train the employees of a particular locomotive maintenance workshop, generate improvement of the processes carried out, pass the methodology of the procedures in a simple and clear way, performing the versatility of maintainers, contributing to increased productivity in the sector and increased reliability in the execution of activities directed to the employees responsible for the maintenance of the assets. The project sought as a basis the application of SWOT Analysis, as a strategic planning tool to identify the possible variables involved in the process, the PDCA Cycle to assertively detail each step to be carried out and the Competency Matrix, in order to identify the core competence and skills of employees. After the application of the project, it was concluded that in the researched company, the employees started to work in an environment more favorable to satisfaction, where it can be seen that the training, qualification and motivation benefited people management, increasing the skills of the employees, exploring their cognitive abilities and allowing the team to work as a whole in a more balanced way.
