This article is part of an ongoing research, whose study deals with the Standardization of Official Documents in the Electronic Information System (SEI) at the Multicampia of the University of the State of Bahia. In public administration, the written communication of the writing of official texts represents the way in which the public power, whether from a country, state or even municipality, celebrates its acts and other forms of communication with the public, so it must follow the preceding fundamentals in a effective, efficient and agile. Standardization consists of the process of preparing and structuring documents in an organized way, providing agility in the information with less probability of errors and delays. The first benefit of the standardization of official documents is the perception that the internal and external public will have of the institution, as well-presented information generates trust and positively reinforces the institution's identity, contributing and ensuring greater understanding of the message and quality of service. Correct and standardized written communication is of fundamental importance for information security and thus increase productivity and ease of decision making. The main objective of the present study is to systematize the standardization of official documents of the University of the State of Bahia - UNEB. Faced with such relevance, this research seeks to use a methodological approach of a qualitative and bibliographic nature. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, the methodology of a participatory research will be used – with instruments to collect data from qualitative aspects. The production of UNEB's Official Writing Manual will result in benefits for the internal and external communities, the optimization of administrative activities and the consolidation of the institution's image and identity.
