ACADEMIC BACKGROUND AND BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES: AN ANALYSIS OF LABORATORY BIOSAFETY

Abstract

Biosafety is a necessary professional to be examined during the training of biologists, especially for those who perform health care, who want to work in the health area, who want to work in the health area and who want to work in laboratories. Thanks to the importance that this theme presents for the health of the biologist, this research how to study the knowledge of Biological Sciences students of the CEDERJ Consortium in relation to the BL theme. A search form was applied through Google Form (Google Form), where it was possible to have data from 6 students who wanted to Note that most of them have the correct knowledge about the laboratory applicability of items such as: lab coat, glove, goggles , equipment, materials and sharp objects. On the other hand, most do not use adequate safety cabinet and known about the laboratory risk level. Therefore, it is concluded that the participation in training curricula, which addresses the concepts of biosafety, presents determination in the training of biologists, it is suggested that these professionals continue to seek training for themselves, however, in order to carry out their work with efficiency.
