Introduction: The Covid-19 pandemic has had several repercussions around the world, influencing the economy, people's way of life, physical contact and killing millions of people so far. In order to reduce the spread of this dangerous and deadly disease, the years 2020 and 2021 were marked by intense social isolation. The teaching of dermatology, as part of a medical specialty, unfortunately, could not escape this impact. Objective: The present study tried to bring a sample of the sayings of medical students about the use of non-face-to-face education tools in dermatology training during the Covid-19 pandemic period, as well as to perform a linguistic analysis of this sample to try to understand the reality in which the respective students were inserted. Method: Face-to-face interviews were carried out with fifteen medical students from the Pedro Ernesto University Hospital, the responses were all transcribed, the names were suppressed, and the academic volunteers were listed completely anonymously according to the order of data collection. Conclusion: Distance education is an undeniable advance in all areas of human knowledge, but in medicine (and in dermatology) it still cannot, as demonstrated by the content of the speech of most medical students, completely replace the form of face-to-face teaching.
