This article demonstrates the responsibility of the automotive designer in relation to designing a vehicle, since in Brazil there is a historical, emotional and value relationship. In automotive design, designers begin to represent their ideas on paper, the features of the cars transpire the brand's visual language, strengthening the company's signature, differentiating one model from another.Recognizing historical concepts such as Styling and Streamline, in addition to the importance of visual language, provides designers and enthusiastic consumers with an understanding of the factors needed to create a vehicle, which involves several design stages as demonstrated in the proposed case study, noting that understanding what is behind the automotive traits is relevant since the search for a quality car in terms of aesthetics and functionality is indisputable.
