Abstract

This text is a descriptive review of the book Education as a Practice of Freedom, by Paulo Freire. Its first version was written in 1967, published by Paz e Terra. Currently, the work is already in its fiftieth edition, this being the author's first book, written during his exile in Chile during the civil-military dictatorship in Brazil.
