The aim of this study was to analyze the scope of the teaching-learning process of the annual integrated high school technical courses of the Instituto Federal de Educação Técnica e Tecnológica do Sertão Pernambucano, Campus Ouricuri, with regard to school performance and the permanence of students in the courses facing the Covid-19 pandemic and the consequent remote learning, which brought with it a range of challenges for education as a whole, in particular for basic education that was not used to or prepared for a teaching process without face-to-face interaction and everyday social, both in terms of teachers and schools in general, as well as students and their guardians. The Ouricuri campus offers courses in integrated high school, subsequent high school, professional education for young people and adults, initial and continuing training and a degree. However, the focus of this work was the annual integrated high school courses starting in 2020, more specifically agriculture, information technology and buildings, as they started precisely in the pandemic period, which allows a more forceful analysis in view of the peculiarities of the Ouricuri Campus, such as not retaining students with multiple failures and the action taken during the pandemic to delete failures from the student record.
