Abstract

This study aimed to develop and obtain evidence of content validity for IMIEIP-Res, a framework designed to assess the degree of formal incorporation of Interprofessional Education into the political-pedagogical projects of Multiprofessional Health Residency Programs. This methodological study comprised two macro-stages: theoretical-conceptual development and validation through a modified e-Delphi process. The framework was organized into eight dimensions, 24 criteria, and four interpretive levels of incorporation. Thirteen experts, selected using adapted Fehring criteria, assessed relevance, clarity, and representativeness on a four-point Likert scale. Thresholds of I-CVI ≥ 0.78 for each attribute and a global index ≥ 0.90 were adopted. In the first round, 17 of the 24 criteria were retained and seven were revised; the global index was 0.85. In the second round, all revised criteria exceeded the cutoff, increasing the global index to 0.92; the cultural safety criterion achieved unanimous agreement. IMIEIP-Res showed favorable evidence of content validity and is suitable for pilot use as an institutional diagnostic tool and as support for revising political-pedagogical projects. Further studies should examine reliability, usability, and the empirical performance of the proposed continuum.
