SCHOOL PERFORMANCE TRENDS IN ITACOATIARA (AM): A PRE- AND POST-PANDEMIC ANALYSIS BASED ON ENEM MICRODATA

Abstract

This article addresses the use of microdata from the National High School Examination (ENEM) to analyze student performance at the municipal level, focusing on the municipality of Itacoatiara, in the state of Amazonas, Brazil. The study focuses on analyzing the scores obtained by participants in the different knowledge areas of the examination, seeking to facilitate the extraction and interpretation of this information. Considering the large volume and complexity of the microdata made available by the Anísio Teixeira National Institute for Educational Studies and Research (INEP), an interactive platform called Edubasi was developed. The tool allows users to explore the large volume of performance microdata through different filters, presenting information in graphs and tables and enabling the selection and comparison of data according to different characteristics of participants and examination editions. Thus, the study presents an approach focused on the organization, analysis, and visualization of ENEM performance data, seeking to make the exploration of this information more accessible and facilitate the identification of patterns and differences in student performance at the municipal level.
