This study analyzed the contribution of agile methodologies to improving performance in strategic projects within organizations, with emphasis on the Scrum and Kanban frameworks. The research is characterized as a descriptive literature review with a qualitative approach, based on Bardin's content analysis and an integrative literature synthesis. Scientific publications produced between 2020 and 2026 were examined, selected according to academic relevance and alignment with the research topic. The findings revealed that Scrum enhances predictability, team alignment, and incremental value delivery through iterative cycles known as sprints. Kanban, in turn, stands out for its visual workflow management, bottleneck reduction, and operational efficiency through Work in Progress (WIP) control. The analysis of key performance indicators demonstrated positive impacts of these methodologies on schedule, cost, quality, productivity, and stakeholder satisfaction. The study also found that the complementary adoption of Scrum and Kanban maximizes organizational outcomes by combining predictability, flexibility, and continuous improvement. It is concluded that agile methodologies represent strategic tools capable of improving organizational performance and strengthening the ability to generate sustainable value in highly complex projects.
