Early childhood music education stimulates cognitive development, speech, motor coordination, and socio-emotional skills. Thus, the research aimed to understand in depth these contributions during the child’s development in Early Childhood Education, considering the guidelines of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). The following question is presented: in what way does music education influence the development of children in the school context? The research is qualitative in nature and descriptive, exploratory, and bibliographic in character, based on the guidelines of the National Curriculum Framework for Early Childhood Education, which understands the child as an active subject in the learning and development process (Brazil, 1998). Data collection occurred through interviews and classroom observations with teachers P1 and P2. The results demonstrate that activities involving rhythmic games and singing circles improve memory, social interaction, emotional balance, and vocabulary expansion. It is concluded that music education contributes significantly to child development, highlighting the need for investments in teacher training and effective curricular inclusion.
