In 1924, Miyazawa Kenji published his first collection of children's stories, with the main title being the name of one of the tales included: Chûmon no ôi ryôriten [The Restaurant of Countless Orders]. Therefore, this work aims to present a Portuguese translation of the story in question so that it can be used for both academic purposes and the personal enjoyment of readers. The original version of the story (in Japanese), which is already in the public domain, was used to create this translation. Consequently, it is hoped that this work will contribute to expanding the repertoire of translated works by the author, introducing his celebrated work and his prestige as a writer to the Brazilian public.
