This study aimed to analyze the influence of technology on the teaching and learning process in the 5th grade of elementary school, seeking to understand how technological resources can contribute to the development of pedagogical practices and the construction of students' knowledge. The research also sought to identify how teachers use digital technologies in the classroom, as well as the methodological strategies adopted to make teaching more dynamic, interactive, and meaningful for students. The methodology adopted was a qualitative approach, carried out through interviews with teachers identified as P1 and P2 from a private school in the municipality of Escada. The study is based on the theoretical contributions of Paulo Freire (2021, p.47), who emphasizes the importance of a pedagogical practice that favors the active participation of the student in the learning process; Moran (2018, p. 12), who highlights that the use of technologies can expand teaching possibilities and make learning more meaningful; and Kenski (2012, p.44), who states that digital technologies can transform educational practices and favor new ways of constructing knowledge. The results indicate that the use of technology contributes to making classes more engaging, encouraging greater student participation and assisting teachers in diversifying teaching strategies. It is concluded that technology, when used in a planned and pedagogical way, can significantly contribute to the teaching and learning process, fostering knowledge construction and the development of critical and reflective students.
