Abstract

The phenomenon of entrepreneurship has gained increasing relevance in the contemporary economic landscape, demanding greater autonomy and flexibility in the management of labor relations. In this context, some entrepreneurs believe that the rigidity of regulations and the traditionally protective interpretation of labor legislation can represent obstacles to competitiveness and innovation. On the other hand, the absence of adequate protection mechanisms can result in the precariousness of working conditions and the intensification of worker vulnerability. Given this scenario, this study aims to analyze the principles of Labor Law and their impact on entrepreneurship, investigating whether these principles constitute indispensable protection for workers or whether they can be perceived as obstacles to economic development and the expansion of new businesses. The research was developed through bibliographic and documentary review, based on the analysis of scientific articles, books, periodicals, and legislation relevant to the topic. Data collection was conducted using academic databases such as SciELO and Google Scholar, considering publications between 2020 and 2025. The results indicate that the principles of Labor Law should not be understood as obstacles to economic development, but as essential normative instruments for regulating productive relations, promoting social justice and balance between the parties. It is concluded that the main contemporary challenge lies in building a legal environment that simultaneously fosters entrepreneurship and ensures the effective protection of labor rights, contributing to a dynamic, inclusive, and socially responsible economy.
